Manage emails, events and contacts with just one app, Boxer
You start to compose your email, move over to your contacts app for some information, open your calendar app to check your availability, and then can finally complete and send the email. Does this sound familiar? Now there is an app that can handle all of this in one convenient spot, Boxer. For two years, Boxer has been your inbox for Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, and more, but the app received a huge update today, July 28, bringing calendar and contact integration.
Calendar update
Not only can you see your calendar with a tap, you can now use a handy Send Availability feature. When making plans with someone, click on the calendar and you have the option to send dates and times that you are available to meet via email. You can even send multiple times in order to give your recipient more options. The calendar allows for day, week, and agenda viewing choices.
Contacts update
Check out your recent contacts, favorites, or your entire list easily. You can just tap an address to email them or phone number to call or text them. You can also edit their photo.
Email update
The integration of calendar and contacts makes Boxer a truly useful and terrific app to have. Along with those additions, comes some updates to the email section of the app as well.
- Tap an email address to add it to your contact list
- Set different colors for your accounts
- Execute actions from the lock screen
- Spot unread messages quickly with the highlight feature
- Enjoy a full screen view on your iPad
- View notifications on your Apple Watch
Great additional features
It has been several months since the last significant update, so this one will please many users. Boxer is a smooth app with easy navigation between email, calendar, and contacts. Customizable colors, sounds, and notifications per account are wonderful benefits. You can also personalize the swipe actions and create quick templates for more efficiency. Overall Boxer is a pretty impressive tool.
Boxer has both free and paid versions available with the free version containing fewer features. The paid version is available for $4.99 and both are universal apps.
