Protect your core and score in Energy Barrier
If you are in the mood for a challenging, fast-paced puzzle game, then Energy Barrier has you covered. Protect the core holding your energy while defending against the incoming enemies in order to reach the highest score possible. But, stay on your toes because things move fast in this game.
Gameplay
The game screen has a solid core and outer circle where your round protector is traveling. As objects head toward your core, you must tap to create a barrier on the outer circle to stop them. With each barrier you create, energy is depleted from your core. Also, the bigger your barriers are, the more energy you use. Since the goal is to protect your core, be careful with the barriers you build otherwise you could deplete it yourself.
Scoring
You receive a point each time you successfully stop an enemy from reaching your core. As soon as an enemy hits one of your barriers, they both vanish, your score increases, and energy is returned. So, just keep building barriers and taking out enemies. There is also Game Center support so that you can check out the leaderboard.
Fast and tough
Energy Barrier is anything but easy. The enemy circles fly in from all directions and do so very quickly. You need to be able to get to the right spot on the outer circle in enough time to create the barrier. If you miss your window and the enemy makes it to the core, the game is over. Since you do not want to use too much energy to create larger barriers it can be hard to judge the exact spot they are needed and with the correct size.
Energy Barrier is universal and available for free on the App Store. The game is heavily ad-supported, so you can make the $1.99 in-app purchase to remove them if you enjoy the game.
