You’re able to control your ship’s movements via the left joystick and fire its weapons in any direction with the right. Your ship won’t be easy to control at first or have that much firepower, but you can upgrade it after every round using collected debris. Angry Birds 2 ($1.99 → Free, 82.3 MB): The biggest mobile game of all time finally has a true sequel, so drop everything you’re doing and rescue those eggs from the ornery pigs in Angry Birds 2. Like the original, Angry Birds 2 is ideal for every type of gamer thanks to its easy to learn but difficult to master mechanics.

Angry Birds 2 takes the original bird-flinging formula and ups the ante in every possible way. Venture to a new, more visually stunning Piggy Island to rescue those eggs from the scheming pigs. This time around you’re able to select which birds you fling instead of going in order. It adds a new strategic element, allowing you to create massive pig-crushing chain reactions to earn extra birds. Levels are also bigger, with multiple stages to fly through, and you’ll have to take on boss piggies that require everything you have to defeat. If all that wasn’t enough, the Angry Birds have learned a little magic, providing them with special spells to cast in case things get really challenging.

Angry Birds 2 is available for free today only (07/31). It has a 4-star rating with a total of 792 ratings.

The app features a powerful image processor, which optimizes your scans by auto-detecting a document’s edges and removing shadows. You’re also able to manually adjust the crop if need be, apply a filter, or rotate or flip your scan. Then save your scan as a PDF and share it via email, AirDrop iTunes File Sharing, Wi-Fi, or any one of the many cloud storage services.
