Draw up a little love in Sketch to send instantly to friends

There are plenty of great messaging apps on the App Store for sending texts, photos, and videos. But, what if you want to draw a picture and send it quickly to your bestie, sweetie, or even your mom? Sketch is a new app that lets you draw whatever you want and send it to your contacts in real-time.

Sketch is simple

Sketch does not contain a long list of features, but it actually doesn’t need them. The app has a simple premise which is to allow you to sketch a picture and send it quickly. Your recipient does need to have Sketch in order to receive your wonderful drawing. But, the app is available for free so giving it a try is worth it.

Locate contacts, sketch, and send

Just tap the plus icon to add people from your contact list. Select your contact and you will see a black screen where you use your finger to sketch your cool smiley face, lovely heart, or shining star. Draw anything you like and it is sent within seconds. You can see the drawing fade from the screen and hear a short pop sound when it has been sent. Your recipient will then see the notification and the sketch you sent, as you were drawing it for them.

Couldn’t be easier

The app is basic in its functions, but can be a cool, new way to show you are thinking of someone. You do not have to be an artist to use Sketch, as you can clearly see from my own drawings above. Just sketch something cute, fun, or affectionate and off it goes to your contact instantly.

Sketch is designed for iPhone and available for free on the App Store. There are no ads or in-app purchases.
