With what seem to be pretty regular updates these days, the popular WhatsApp Messenger has some terrific new features to offer once again. Updated today, August 5, users can create custom notifications, edit photos better, share contacts easier, and much more.
What’s new with WhatsApp
If you have been waiting to customize your notifications per chat, which includes mute, then do a happy dance because it’s here. In addition, users can also enjoy the following new features:
- Include videos in chat backups
- Share friends and family from the Contacts app
- Share locations from the Map app
- Mark chats as read or unread by swiping
- Improved cropping of photos and videos

If you have not tried WhatsApp Messenger yet, but have heard about it and want to try it, then you can take advantage of unlimited chats to friends and family. Include photos, videos, and audio, join group chats, connect automatically to other WhatsApp users in your contact list, and never lose a message because they are saved for you even if you are offline.
