To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the hit game Cut the Rope, creator ZeptoLab has announced a new game in the series. Cut the Rope: Magic will take that lovable, candy-eating monster Om Nom into a whole fresh, new, magical world.
Cut the Rope: Magic will be arriving on iOS and Android this December. Although there are no firm details regarding what this new physics-based puzzle game will include, we do know that the magical twists expected should be colorful, fun, and challenging.
Since its launch on the App Store in 2010, Cut the Rope has become a huge hit as players help the hungry little monster Om Nom get his candy. With over 750 million downloads, the game soared up the ranks and that adorable monster can be found on clothing, as toys, in cartoons, and also a soon to be released feature-length animated film.
From Semyon Voinov, ZeptoLab founder and original Cut the Rope designer:
When we released the original Cut the Rope, Om Nom didn’t even have a name. We had no idea how he looked from behind or whether he could even move on such short legs. We also weren’t sure if he had any friends. Over the past five years, we have been discovering Om Nom and his story, not only for our audience’s sake, but for our own as well. And we still have many interesting questions we intend to answer for our players.
