Post multiple photos to Twitter with the updated Linky
There are times when it would be awesome to attach more than one photo to a Twitter post directly from the photos app. If you are a lucky Linky user, then you are in business. This nifty app for sharing links and images to Twitter, Facebook, and App.net received an update yesterday, Oct. 19, allowing you to do just that and more.
Tweet multiple photosYesterday’s update brought us a significant amount of new features, the best being multiple photo uploads to Twitter. So, now when you are in your photos app you can select more than one image and just click the Linky extension from your sharing options. Add some text, share a site, or just tweet those cool photos with ease.
Other new featuresLinky has several additional features that make sharing your items even easier. Now when uploading photos to Facebook you can select the destination album which is supported for both profiles and pages. Here are more new features of Linky:
- Enhanced image suggestions for webpages with parsing for the best ones
- A new URL shortening service: yourls.org
- Eliminated the Linky sharing watermark previously shown on text shot images
- An in-app help section for account authentication problems
Linky provides a fast, simple way to share images and links to Twitter, Facebook, or App.net. The Web clipper, text shots, and URL shortening in addition to the other new features make this a terrific update. My favorite feature is the image suggestions for webpages that you want to share, which looks for related ones rather than ads or logos.
Linky is universal and available for $3.99 on the App Store.
