Whitelist or blacklist sites easily with the new Handblock

Getting Stuff Done
October 20, 2015

Last month we showed you a new ad-blocking app for Safari called Handblock. The app blocks ads, tracking URLs, and cookies providing a better mobile browsing experience. This handy tool received a recent update to version 2.0 giving you more control over what is blocked and what is not.

New Handblock features

You can now easily whitelist your favorite websites to show the ads if you like. Or, take advantage of the new blacklist feature and block the entire site for increased parental control. Additionally, Handblock received performance enhancements and an improved blocking list.

New controls

Both whitelisting and blacklisting can be controlled easily when you are in Safari. First, make sure that Handblock is enabled by selecting More from the sharing icon and then activating the app in the list. Handblock should then appear in your sharing settings for Safari. Then, just tap the icon and choose between the whitelist and blacklist settings. You also check out those sites you have saved in both areas within the Handblock app and remove them if needed.

Works well

As mentioned before, Handblock is easy to set up and takes away those annoying ads when browsing in Safari. With these new features, you have more flexibility and control, which is always a good thing.

Handblock is universal and now just $0.99 on the App Store.
