Beat your own fastest time on Super Puzzle Maze for Apple TV
I’ve been looking for good puzzle games on the Apple TV, seeking out titles that will challenge me to think quickly but still plot my next move carefully. It’s a fine balance, but some games pull it off remarkably well. Super Puzzle Maze, a retro-themed twitch game where you control the player through a series of puzzles and mazes with your thumb, offers that balance.
Precision control on the touchpad
Super Puzzle Maze uses the Siri Remote’s touchpad for controlling your player, but it goes beyond simple swipe gestures. This game actually takes advantage of the swipe intensity sensors in the Siri Remote, giving you the ability to control how slow or fast your player moves. It’s a natural game mechanic, but it does take a bit of getting used to.
Fiendishly difficult
This game not only challenges you to make it through the mazes, but also to get through them under a certain amount of time. You also have to be careful not to hit the walls, since doing so too many times will kill off your player and force you to start over again. With that said, Super Puzzle Maze is addictive, and you’ll find yourself wanting to try again to beat your own speed.
