Leonardo’s Cat pounces onto the scene as a fun puzzle journey
A couple of weeks ago, we let you know about a fun, family puzzler on the way from StoryToys called Leonardo’s Cat and the game has finally sprung onto the App Store. This upbeat, puzzle adventure will have your kids, and probably even you, searching and solving your way through an ancient city as Leonardo da Vinci’s cat Scungilli.
Game overview
Using Leonardo da Vinci’s vast inventions, you will guide Scungilli through each of the 60 levels in search of the missing Automoton, the world’s first robot. This latest invention has been stolen by Michelangelo and it is up to you to solve each puzzle and reach the level goal in order to find and retrieve pieces of the scattered Automoton.
Gameplay
Each level begins with a certain number of available inventions and contraptions. You simply drag to place these tools on the path Scungilli will take. Help him to bounce on a spring over the water or parachute to a safe landing after flying through the air. Once you place an invention on the path, you can just tap to adjust it. For example, if a cannon needs to be placed to shoot through a wall, you can change the cannon’s aim easily. When all contraptions have been placed, click the play button and watch the scene to see if you get Scungilli to his goal successfully.

Great fun
Although Leonardo’s Cat is intended for children ages 6 to 8, I can honestly say it is a fun, amusing, and enjoyable game for adult puzzle fans as well. The story is imaginative, the cut scenes are entertaining, and with the voice of Leonardo da Vinci provided by Sir Patrick Stewart of “Star Trek” and “X-Men,” the narrative is charming.
Leonardo’s Cat is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It is available for $2.99 on the App Store.
