Prepare to defend on the Apple Watch in the Castle Croc game
Owners of the Apple Watch use their wearable for all sorts of things, from basic emails and text messages to fitness workouts and cooking. If you are someone who also uses your Watch to kill some minutes with games while waiting in line or riding in a cab, then this new game might be right up your alley. Castle Croc is coming from the creator of tinyCalc this week and looks like it could be another good way to pass the time.
Game overview
You will need to protect your precious castle from the incoming deadly crocodiles. Spin the circle-like force field around your structure to block the crocs from getting in. On Apple Watch, you will use your handy Digital Crown to maneuver your force field. For a look at the game in action, check out this preview and just click here if you cannot see it:
Game availability
Even though Castle Croc will not be an Apple Watch only app, that could actually entice more gamers to give it a try. It will be available for iPhone and iPad in addition to the Watch. It appears the game will be playable via the new multitasking features on the iPad, which is interesting.
Watch-specific games
We have seen some previous games launch specifically for Apple Watch. Runeblade, Colourbind, and GamesToGo have all given wearable-only gaming a try. How well Castle Croc will do when it comes to Watch-play remains to be seen, but since it is compatible with other devices it might actually be more popular.
Castle Croc is scheduled to arrive on the App Store on Nov. 19 and will be available for free. Check back with AppAdvice for more news and updates on the game’s release and if you give it a try, let us know what you think of it.
