Retro-style Red Dot Camera Free is now available
Back in August, we introduced you to a new camera app providing a classic rangefinder and manual setting experience. Red Dot Camera, that was inspired by the Leica M camera series, gives a unique look and feel to picture-taking. The company behind the app, Lifelike Apps, Inc., wants to offer you chance to try out this different experience at no charge with Red Dot Camera Free, released on Nov. 24.
Red Dot Camera Free
The good news is that the free version of this app has all the same features as the paid one. What makes it different is that the photos you take will display a watermark in the corner. This way, you can try out the app, make sure that you like it, and then purchase the paid version via in-app purchase currently for $2.99.
Overall features
Both the free and paid versions of Red Dot Camera offer the following useful features:
- Retro-style rangefinder with magnified center
- Manual ISO control for sharper images
- Manual shutter speed control for longer exposures
- Frame lines of 28, 35, or 50 mm
- Self-timer with three countdown settings
- Black and white mode for traditional shots
For anyone
Whether you are a professional photographer, beginner, or just an avid picture-taker, Red Dot Camera is a neat app to try. From the classic look and feel of older cameras to the manual settings for just the right photo, the app gives you great flexibility. And now that there is a free version, you can scope out all of the functionality before shelling out the money for the paid version.
Red Dot Camera Free and Red Dot Camera are both designed for iPhone and available on the App Store with no ads.
