Use your plane’s energy as the ultimate Line Smasher
If you enjoy uncomplicated games where your goal is to simply shoot for a high score, then Line Smasher might just be the game for you. For a quick game fix with easy one-handed control, you just use your plane’s energy line to take out enemies and score.
Line Smasher gameplay
Your plane is maneuvered by tilting your phone left and right. As you do this, you will see the colored energy line that trails behind your plane. Use that line to score points by having enemy fire hit it or by taking out approaching ships with it. As you continue to do well, you earn more supersonics which are activated when you double-tap on the screen. This gives the plane a huge speed boost with a much longer energy line for you to score. And, if you happen to fail the game, you have the option to revive your plane by watching a short video ad, which then allows you to continue where you left off.
Overall thoughts
As mentioned, Line Smasher is good for a quick game fix and is easy to pick up and play. You just have to be careful as more enemies approach that you turn at the right time for them as well as their fire to hit your energy line and not your plane. It would be great to see Game Center support with a leaderboard for this one, but for now you will just have to see how high you can score for yourself.
Line Smasher is available for your iPhone for free on the App Store. The game is ad-supported and there is an in-app purchase to remove them for $0.99 if you enjoy the game.
