It was in July of this year when eMail Widget first popped up letting you quickly manage messages from your Notification Center. Although very useful, the app was limited in email types and the number of widgets. But, in a recent update to version 2.0 this handy widget now offers more support and additional widgets.

The eMail Widget 2 app now lets you connect Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, iCloud, Office 365, and GMX email accounts whereas before it supported Gmail and Google Apps only. In addition, you can add up to three widgets to your Notification Center which is a terrific improvement since most people these days have more than one email account.

In case you have not tried this convenient tool, there are features that make for quick email management. Right from the Notification Center, just select an email and then click Archive, Star, Mark as Read, Spam, or Trash. You can also Refresh your display with a tap. One item to note is that the Archive action is not available for Yahoo, Office 365, and GMX email types.

Expanding eMail Widget 2 to support these other email types along with more than one widget is an obvious huge improvement and should definitely attract a larger number of users. With a simple, useful concept, the app is truly handy for quickly viewing your emails and taking fast actions so that once you do open your email app, those emails have already been taken care of.

The eMail Widget 2 is designed for iPhone and iPad and is just $0.99 on the App Store which provides one account setup. For your second and third email accounts and additional widgets, there is an in-app purchase for $1.99.

In other news, Readdle’s Spark has just become an even better alternative to Mailbox and Google for iOS updated with 3D Touch, iPad multitasking and more.
