Overview
Just remove the paper backing and stick the Style Ring onto the back of your iPhone. You can, technically, remove the Style Ring and move it to another device, but I probably wouldn’t do that often. The instructions say that the adhesive gel pad is reusable, you would just need to rinse off any dirt or residue between uses.
If you put one finger through the loop, it adds more security to your grip on your phone. I would not carry it around by just the Style Ring, but if you’re holding the phone already, it makes your grip more secure. This is an excellent feature for a klutz like me.
The Style Ring serves as a kickstand for watching videos or video chatting. The ring flips a full 180 degrees and rotates 360 degrees so you can choose any angle and orientation you like.
It comes with a Car Mount, which you can attach to your dashboard. Note that the Car Mount adhesive is one-time use only, so don’t plan on moving it from car to car. Once the Car Mount is in place, the Style Ring attaches to it. Since the Style Ring rotates, you can view your iPhone in either horizontal or vertical orientation. This is great for using your phone’s GPS or hands-free calling.
The only negative I can think of is that it does take away from the iPhone’s clean aesthetic. Keep in mind that your phone isn’t going to lie flat on its back with this in place, nor fit into your tightest pockets. However, for me, the benefits outweigh the negatives.
