Parallels, a new platformer, is not as relaxing as it looks

A new platformer from Appsolute Games called Parallels will have you thinking it is a simple, casual game, when it is really a danger-packed challenge. In a minimalistic setting, you will guide your orb to safety checkpoints in order to continue on your journey.

Parallels gameplay

Controlling your orb in Parallels is easy as you just tap to make it jump. However, the dangerous obstacles, collapsing objects, and moving platforms are anything but easy to maneuver around. Your orb continues to roll and as it does you must avoid hitting colored shapes in your path by hopping over them. But, be careful not to jump too high because you may collide with an object above you.

Parallels Game details

There are over 30 checkpoints to roll towards that will keep you safe and let you continue along your way. If you fail, you have the option to restart at your last checkpoint or watch a short video ad to skip to the next safety mark. See how well you do on the Game Center leaderboards and if you can make it to the end of this challenging journey.

Parallels Subtle graphics, great sounds

Parallels is made up of simplistic but attractive shapes and colors, which makes it easier to focus on your goal. The soundtrack that plays in the background sounds terrific and is almost soothing; making you believe it will be a relaxing game. But, beware because dangers lurk everywhere so you must stay on your toes to succeed in this challenge.

Parallels is designed for both iPhone and iPad. It is available for free on the App Store with a $2.99 in-app purchase to remove the ads. In other game news, check out Electronic Arts updates Need for Speed: No Limits and Real Racing 3 or Adult Swim’s ‘Attack the Light’ is coming to Apple TV.
