How often do you take a short break in your day to take a few deep breaths and relax? A new app called Hear and Now helps you to do this with daily reminders and breathing exercises, while monitoring your heart rate.
The Hear and Now process
First, you will use the slider to indicate your stress level. Then, you will gently place your left index finger on your rear facing camera and flash. The app will read your heart rate as it guides you through the breathing exercises. The screen provides prompts to inhale and exhale while you listen to calming sounds and soothing music. You can see your heart rate displayed and your progress through the exercises.
After your breathing session you will indicate whether or not your stress level has decreased. Hear and Now will then show you your data on an attractive dashboard. You can review your mood before and after the exercises, overall breathing quality, and balance and agility, with a short description for each.
Hear and Now is a wonderful tool for relaxation. From the lovely scene on the display to the tranquil sounds to the helpful exercises, this app provides a calming experience. Sometimes we get so busy with our work and daily tasks that we simply forget to take a few minutes to unwind and regain our focus.
