Rocking deal on Guitar Hero Live controller bundle at Amazon
If you’ve been waiting for a great deal on Activision’s Guitar Hero Live controller bundle, quit waiting. Today only, Jan. 14, Amazon is offering the bundle for just $49.99, a $50 savings.
For those who missed it, Guitar Hero Live launched on the App Store in mid-October, the same day it released on consoles. You can download the game for free, but it’s limited until you unlock it for $9.99 through in-app purchase or by pairing the Bluetooth guitar controller to your iOS device or Apple TV. Since the controller launched, it’s been $99.99, so today’s deal on Amazon is a solid score.
This is also great if you want to play Guitar Hero Live on your fourth-generation Apple TV. The set-top box version of the game requires the controller, and many might have balked at the steep price tag of the guitar.
When the controller first hit, there was a crippling bug that kept you from being able to play the game at all, but Activision quickly resolved the problem. When I tested out the Guitar Hero Live controller, I found it to be a much better experience than just using the touchscreen on my iPhone. That hasn’t changed, and I still love rocking out with the guitar controller.
If you want a terrific guitar-playing experience, don’t miss out on this deal. It’s only for today, so you’ll need to act quickly. While you wait for your controller to arrive, be sure to check out Guitar Hero Live for free on your iPhone or iPad.
