A new game is coming soon to the App Store, one that is a fresh take on the idea made popular by the Cut the Rope puzzle series. Pull My Tongue will star a lovable chameleon named Greg, whose outstretched tongue is always seeking through obstacle-ridden puzzles for the critter’s favorite food, popcorn.

The new title is going to be published by Noodlecake Games, and was created by lone developer David Marquardt. Marquardt obviously has been having fun with the main character of this game, incorporating fun interactions like pulling Greg’s tail and poking his eye, straight from the start screen of the title.

To help Greg get his beloved kernel of popcorn, you’ll have to guide his long tongue past a variety of obstacles. Whether it’s an electrical zapper, a switch, bubblegum, or a series of spikes, it’s up to you to help the chameleon get fed without hurting himself.

Marquardt has been developing Pull My Tongue since 2014, and folks interested in a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s progress can check out the programmer’s thread over at Unity’s forums. It’s pretty enlightening and entertaining.

Pull My Tongue will arrive for iOS on Feb. 4, according to a recent article at GameMob, followed by an Android release sometime later. You can see the game in action in the trailer below, but click here if it fails to load.
