Tired of tweeting on Twitter? Hop over and hoot on Hooti
Say what you want in 140 characters, add photos, follow others, and be followed. Sound familiar? Then, have your posts self-destruct. Sound like a different app you know? A new social networking app called Hooti takes your posts to another level because you can be completely honest and then have your thoughts simply disappear. It’s like a cross between Twitter and Snapchat.
Hooti details
You can create your post, which is called a Hoot, with words, fun audio, a cool photo, or a neat video. Then, set it to self-destruct in a minute, a day, a week, or a month. When you follow other users (Hooters), it is called worshipping, which you can do easily. Browse through your feed to see what others are up to, check out what’s trending, and snoop on Top Hooters. You can reply to Hoots, like them, and repost (Rehoot) them.
Alternative social app
You can tweet on Twitter, hoot on Hooti, or do both, the choice is yours. The self-destruct option for posts is a nice touch. But, remember that people can still take a screen shot of your message, so when you are hooting your honest opinion, just keep that in mind. If you are fed up with Twitter and want to try something new, check out Hooti and see if it’s for you.
Hooti is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It is available for free on the App Store with no in-app purchases. In other news, take a look at Apple updating ‘Shot on iPhone’ ad campaign with iPhone 6s photos or MailDeck email app goes 3.0 with alias support, swipe actions and more.
