iPhone:

Cutie Mini Monsters ($2.99 → Free, 47.1 MB): This educational app will help your child learn to recognize numbers and count just by hanging out with a bunch of Cutie Mini Monsters. It’s perfect for any parent looking to educate and entertain their child.

What’s better than a bunch of regular monsters? Cute mini ones, of course! Your child is presented with more than 30 beautifully illustrated pages, each featuring an interactive monster that will assist them with recognizing and learning a specific number. They can flip through the pages on their own, or they can listen to the narrator sound out words for them. They’re also able to put together a collection of jigsaw puzzles.

Cutie Mini Monsters is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 22 ratings.

Quick Drafts – Notes, Errands and Shopping List ($2.99 → Free, 8.3 MB): A note taking app that can keep up with the speed of your thoughts. It’s for those who need a note taking app that can do just about anything.

Quick Drafts isn’t just fast, it’s also extremely useful. Every time you open it you’ll be presented with a blank page, allowing you to generate notes in an instant. But you don’t have to just record simple notes, as you’re able to convert them into to-do lists and events that can be shared or saved to the cloud. The app also includes the ability to create tappable links and landscape orientation support.

Quick Drafts – Notes, Errands and Shopping List is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 657 ratings.

Universal:

Trixibrix ($0.99 → Free, 3.6 MB): Trixibrix combines brick-breaking and side-scrolling gameplay into one fun package. It’s the perfect game to scratch that brick-breaking itch.

Trixibrix is about as straightforward of a brick-breaking game as you’ll find, which is why we love it. The entire bottom half of the screen is devoted to your finger. Slide back and forth across the region to control you paddle. The moment your finger touches the screen the ball will be launched, so be ready! All of the bricks you need to break scroll across the screen continuously, requiring you to break until you can’t break anymore. Power-ups will also randomly appear, giving you a chance to earn multiple balls and lives back.

Trixibrix is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 417 ratings.

Last City ($2.99 → Free, 329.4 MB): Protect the Dome’s power generators and all of those who reside within in Last City. It’s a visual treat.

The Earth’s atmosphere has become dangerous to humans, so a Dome was erected in order to protect those who decided to remain on the planet. Out of nowhere, creatures from deep space have descended upon the Dome, stealing the energy from the generators that power it. It’s up to you to fight them off and save those who are left. As an agent of the Dome Defense Force, you’re able to skate around the environments using swipe gestures. Simply tap on creatures to focus your attacks. You need to move quickly, as your oxygen levels are limited when outside of the Dome.

Last City is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 7 ratings.

iPad:

Xylo – Cutie Monsters Xylophone Fun ($2.99 → Free, 46.5 MB): Learn to play classic melodies with Xylo. Xylo is sure to get your kids excited about music.

Xylo is an eight note xylophone for iPad. It includes eight classic melodies to learn to play: Mary Had a Little Lamb, Ring Around the Rosie, Row Your Boat, This Old Man, Pop Goes the Weasel, Jingle Bells, Three Blind Mice, and The Mulberry Bush. The notes and lyrics are clearly displayed at the top of the screen with the color-coded keys sitting at the bottom. Just tap to play! The app also supports multitouch, allowing multiple keys to be hit at once.
