Runtastic Heart Rate Monitor, Heart Beat & Pulse Tracker PRO ($1.99 → Free, 16.4 MB): A fitness app that turns your iDevice into a personal heart rate monitor. It’s great for those interested in finding out if their fitness level has improved.

When measuring your heart rate, just place your index finger over your iDevice’s LED flash and camera. The app will display your current BPM in real-time during the test. When the test is complete, you’ll have the chance to record when you measured your heart rate, how you felt, and attach any other details. Results can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, or email. The app also includes a daily reminder option, and history that can be filtered.

Noodler: The Noodle Soup Oracle ($0.99 → Free, 12.7 MB): Receive endless noodle soup ideas with Noodler. It’s informative and inspirational.

Don’t know what to make tonight? Ask the Noodler noodle oracle. The app will provide you with one of over three million chef-curated noodle bowl recipes. Each recipe includes an anime-inspired illustration, and loads of tips and techniques to ensure your dish turns out perfectly. To access a recipe, simply tap on its illustration. You’re also able to favorite recipes.

Universal:

Dracula Twins ($1.99 → Free, 59.3 MB): Help the Dracula Twins rescue their friend and retake the family castle in this retro-inspired platformer. It’s perfect for fans of classic platformers like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Dracula Twins will take you straight down memory lane. Take the fight to Doctor Lifelust’s undead army as you make your way over, under, and around obstacles in order to reach each level’s exit. Your character is armed with skulls that can be tossed at enemies or you can simply bounce off of them. Search low and high to collect every last coin, letter, and emblem in order to earn a 100 percent rating. The game includes three playable characters that you can switch between during play, a classic world map, boss battles, and loads of fun.

Full Deck Pro Solitaire ($0.99 → Free, 29.7 MB): A Solitaire card game that features a huge collection of variations. It’s good casual gaming fun without any distractions.

Tap and drag cards into place, or just tap to automatically move them into open spots. Each variation includes a set of rules, stat tracking, and high scores. The game includes 24 Solitaire variations, customizable card backs and backgrounds, and an intelligent three level hint system. Additional game variations are available via in-app purchase.

Primo Water ($1.99 → Free, 14.7 MB): Improve your health by ensuring you drink enough water with Primo Water. It’s for those who are too distracted to consume enough water each day.

A lack of water can leave you feeling lethargic, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Primo Water will help you stay on track with your water intake with customizable reminders. Every cup you drink can be recorded with a tap. A badge icon will indicate how close you are to your goal, or you can monitor your intake via Apple Watch or a Today widget. The app also includes a variety of unit types to choose from, stat tracking, and 16 different color themes.

Primo Water is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 11 ratings.
