SlyTipper is designed to look like a regular messaging app, but it really just provides a subtle way to figure out what you should tip on a bill. Simply shoot SlyTipper a text that includes your total bill and it will do the calculations for you. You’re able to customize the tip percentages that are shown along with whether or not you want the tax to be calculated back in.

MaxiCalc makes the old new again. It’s designed to look and sound like a classic calculator. In portrait orientation, MaxiCalc’s focus is on basic operations. In landscape orientation, you’re able to do more robust calculations thanks to its set of scientific functions and tape that allows you to keep track of your work. The app also includes memory slots, and the ability to copy, paste, print, and email calculations.
MaxiCalc Pro: Big Retro LCD Paper Tape Calculator is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 454 ratings.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
