iPhone:
Expenses OK makes recording your expenses as simple as a swipe and a tap. If you’re using iOS 8, simply add Expenses OK’s widget to Notification Center. Then every time you need to record something you’ve spent, enter the value via the widget and tap on a category. Your expense will automatically be added to the app without ever having to access it. The widget also displays your total expenses for the day. The app can be used without the widget, of course, but it’s not nearly as useful then.

Universal:
Before you do anything else, you’ll have to add Big Keys to your list of trusted keyboards by accessing Settings > General > Keyboards. Once added, launch the app to adjust the size of the keys and emojis, and change the color theme. Big Keys can be used in any app on your iDevice by accessing it through the world icon on your keyboard. The app also includes a numeric keypad and supports gestures.

PassKey provides peace of mind. It allows you to setup fingerprint login with all of your favorite apps like Facebook, iMessage, Instagram, WhatsApp, and so many more. All you need to do is add the PassKey keyboard via the Settings app and provide it with full access. Then choose which apps you want to utilize it with, and the next time you launch them you’ll be required to use your fingerprint to access them.
Fingerprint Login: PassKey Password & Apps Lock is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3-star rating with a total of 70 ratings.
Noizio includes 15 enchanting ambient sounds: October Rain, Coffee House, Thunderstorm, Campfire, Winter Wind, Sea Waves, River Stream, Summer Night, Sunny Day, Deep Space, Sailing Yacht, Inside Train, Farm, Wind Chimes, and Blue Whales. Sounds can be activated with a tap, and sliders allow you to adjust the intensity of each separately. Your custom mixes can be saved for later use.
Noizio is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 161 ratings.
Ukulele Tuner+ is all about simplicity. It automatically hears the string you are tuning and expands the area for maximum visibility. After you’re done tuning a string, you’ll see its last tuned position represented as a line. Tap on a note to play a reference pitch to help tune by ear. The app includes adjustable fine tuning, alternate tunings, light and dark themes, and iPad split screen support.

Paint Hack provides the biggest and craziest selection of brushes you’ll ever find in the App Store. With 90 brushes in total, including totally off-the-wall experimental brushes, there’s a tool for every artist. Paint Hack also features a smooth and versatile painting engine that’s able to assist in drawing lines, circles, and squares, and can even recognize corners and points to perfectly align shapes. The app includes support for thousands of undos and redos, stylus support, custom color palettes, video recording, and the ability to use as many layers as your iPad will allow.

- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
