Today’s Apps Gone Free: Tile Rider, 5K Trainer and Tape
iPhone:
Tape will liven up any party. It’s a cassette player emulator that features 16 cassette styles to choose from along with four fonts. The controls are entirely gesture-driven, allowing you to pause, go to the next song, go to the previous song, and change cassettes with swipes.
Tape is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 188 ratings.
Universal:
Tile Rider provides classic top-down gameplay with loads of puzzle elements. The object of the game is to guide your vehicle through levels littered with switches, enemies, and portals in order to reach the finish line. It’s a bit of a throwback to the App Store’s earlier gaming days since it doesn’t require in-app purchases of any kind or an Internet connection. Just enjoy the ride through 35 levels.
Tile Rider is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 6 ratings.
This eight week program will help you safely and gradually work on your 5K time. All it requires is 30 to 50 minutes a day, three days a week to achieve a 5K run. The program alternates between running and walking, creating a unique workout each and every day. An audio coach will guide you through the entire process, so you’ll never have to fiddle with your iDevice while speeding along. Apple Watch support allows you to control the entire app from your wrist.
5K Trainer – 0 to 5K Runner! is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 94 ratings.
