Today’s Apps Gone Free: HardCast, Pilsy, PixelMaze and More
Universal:
If you’re like most of iPhone users, you enter a new contact when needed and never think much more about the entry from there. However, on occasion, you may realize, somehow, your address book contains two entries of the same person or lacks a photo so that you can easily recognize who it is. These instances are when Simpler can bring a huge relief. Once authorized to access your current address book, Simpler identifies any redundant people and offers to merge the entries as well as can recognize if an entry is missing a portrait photo, then offers one up from another source, such as Facebook — after asking for access permission, of course. Lastly, you can further protect your data or share it in bulk by allowing Simpler to export or backup the contacts database, either to Simpler’s secure servers, another popular cloud service, or just transferring the data using email.
Simpler Pro is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 5687 ratings.
HardCast is an advanced podcast player designed with the listener in mind. You’re able to browse all of the top podcasts or just stick with what you like. Smart playlists automate tasks that other players force you to perform manually. While listening to your favorite podcasts, you’re able to back-skip, play a sound after an episode ends, customize the sound via an equalizer, change seek intervals and playback rates, and start a sleep timer. If that’s somehow not enough, you’re even able to play podcasts from your Apple Watch and sync them via iCloud.
HardCast – Podcast Player is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 15 ratings.
PixelMaze requires both speed and logical thinking. In each maze you’re provided with 100 seconds to collect all of the pixels and reach the goal. How you accomplish these seemingly simple tasks won’t always be obvious as you’ll find obstacles in your way and keys to reach. The game includes two modes, and 37 levels in its puzzle mode.
PixelMaze is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 67 ratings.
Pilsy will help you track both cycles and mood changes. Its customizable interface allows you to start on any day, determine the hour your pill will be taken, configure pill count and resting days, and highlight your fertile window. The feeling chart allows you to get to know the most common moods, and the more data you input, the better understanding you’ll have. Pilsy also includes multiples themes to choose from, placebo reminders, and a holiday planner.
Pilsy: Birth Control Pills is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 59 ratings.
