Today’s Apps Gone Free: Newton, The Girl Who Sold the World, Tadaa SLR and More
iPhone:
Tadaa SLR does most of the heavy lifting for you, but it includes a handful of powerful editing features that will please even the most seasoned iPhoneographers. After taking your photo you’re able to apply a mask to your subject manually or have Tadaa SLR detect the edges automatically. The aperture, highlight and gloss levels, and range of your blur effect can be adjusted via sliders. Circular, linear, and complete blur options are available as well. With your subject fully in focus and background blurred out, go ahead and add some filters before sharing it.
Tadaa SLR is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 717 ratings.
Universal:
Like Newton’s theory of gravity, this puzzle game is a stroke of genius. The objective is simply to get the white ball to its destination without accidentally destroying it on spikes, blades, and other obstacles. You’re not in direct control of the ball, however. You’re only able to rotate its environment. As you progress, new mechanics will be introduced, creating more complex pathways to navigate. The game includes 90 levels in all.

Frances is a girl in search of direction ever since her world was shattered. Connect with her through the Skyler Messenger system and be her lifeline. The game features a unique audio immersion system that adds to the text-based story. Push notifications will pop in at random, adding to the effect. The Girl Who Sold the World includes seven chapters, resulting in days of gameplay.
