Today’s Apps Gone Free: Flows, Tile Rider, Alloy and More
iPhone:
Flows is an interactive sandbox of fluid colors. You’re able to choose from nine different color palettes. Each one consists of collections of colored squares. Swipe your finger across them to push the colors around the screen. When everything gets too muddled, reset the colors and start all over. Flows also provides calming background music.
Flows is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 33 ratings.
The Sweet Factory is open for business! As a worker on the sweet treat line, you’ll have to move quickly and stay focused in order to keep the factory humming along. Ingredients are piped down through three tubes. You’ll have to tap on the left and right sides of the screen in order to match two ingredients with each other. One wrong move and it’s game over. The game includes 14 types of unlockable treats.
Sweet Factory Prime is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 16 ratings.
Universal:
Alloy is all about simplification. It allows you to organize and access your favorite apps and automate common tasks. Alloy creates dynamic favorites based on your habits, location, and usage statistics. Common actions, like canned messages or posting photos with watermarks, can be fully automated using Alloy’s sophisticated workflow engine. Alloy comes pre-installed with a wide variety of actions as well.
Alloy – launcher and automator is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 23 ratings.
Tile Rider provides classic top-down gameplay with loads of puzzle elements. The object of the game is to guide your vehicle through levels littered with switches, enemies, and portals in order to reach the finish line. It’s a bit of a throwback to the App Store’s earlier gaming days since it doesn’t require in-app purchases of any kind or an Internet connection. Just enjoy the ride through 35 levels.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
