Today’s Apps Gone Free: Primo Do, Distressed FX and ABC Star
Universal:
Distressed FX turns the mundane into the extraordinary. You’re able to snap a new photo or import one from your library. You can then crop your photo down to focus on your subject before getting into the good stuff. Distressed FX allows you to add either straight or round blur effects and adjust their size. You’re able to add a filter along with a texture to your photo, and adjust their intensities to create the perfect combination. The app also includes the ability to adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation of your photo. Your final creations can be shared via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or email.
Distressed FX is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 2581 ratings.
The app can be as basic or as advanced as you want it to be thanks to its myriad of features. Tasks can include a due date, list, notes, priority, recurrence, reminders, and an unlimited number of tags. You can also organize tasks into folders, and view them in list or calendar form. The app also includes 20 themes to choose from, passcode protection, custom icon badging, and search.
Primo Do is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 61 ratings.
iPad:
ABC Star will put your child on the right path. You’re able to select from three lessons: Uppercase, Lowercase, and Numbers. Then hand your iPad off and allow your child to trace what’s in front of them using visual and audio cues. As they progress, a little egg in the corner of the screen will slowly grow and eventually hatch at the end. The app also allows you to skip ahead to any letter or number you like, and includes multiple colors to choose from.
ABC Star – Letter Tracing is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 14 ratings.
