Persistence - Goal Tracker

Samuel Clark

Stay persistent and complete your goals with Persistence.

It’s designed for those who have trouble staying on track.

$1.99 $1.99
Why we picked this?

When creating a new goal, you’re able to title it and enter the number of times you want to work on it or the amount of time you want to spend on it each and everyday. After completing a goal for the day, simply enter your progress and attach notes. If you start to get behind on a goal, don’t fret, you can make up for it by doing more the next day. The idea is to keep those vertical blue and red bars from appearing on the side of your goal. The app also includes the ability to edit goals, set reminders, view statistical progress, and share your daily logs.

Persistence’s interface will help anyone achieve their goals. Just remember: red is bad, blue is good. You’re also now able to view your progress from the Today view.

The only knock on Persistence is that it doesn’t offer Apple Watch support for goal tracking.

Magic Sorter 10 learning games

Kindermatica Ltd.

A collection of 10 educational games meant to help your child develop cognitive and fine motor skills.

It’s ideal for children ages one through three.

$2.99 $2.99
Why we picked this?

The 10 included games and activities will teach your child about colors, shapes, sizes, counting, and matching. The vibrant animations and upbeat music will keep them engaged for hours, and the uncluttered interface makes it easy for them to enjoy the app entirely on their own.

If you want to give your little one a head start, start with Magic Sorter. It’s complete free of outside links and any type of tracking mechanisms, so you can rest assured your child is learning in a safe environment.

Your mileage will vary here, so make sure to monitor your child on the first play through to see if the content is suitable for them.

Playroom for kids and toddlers

Kindermatica Ltd.

A collection of five games designed for toddlers and preschoolers.

It’s ideal for children ages three through six.

$2.99 $2.99
Why we picked this?

Your child is able to join an adorable kitty named Max on a playroom date. They're able to participate in games of seek and find, matching, memory, puzzles, and colors and numbers. Each can be played separately or all at once using the Game Mix mode. You're also able to create custom voice-overs for all of the game's responses.

If you’re a parent or teacher who wants to provide your child with a head start, Playroom is for you. It’s complete free of tracking functions and outside links, so you can pass off your iDevice without worry.

There is a lot to like here, especially the mix of skills, but if you have a child outside of the recommended age range you’ll find the content not suitable for them.
