MONTH
August 2025
Now that August is over, it’s time to look back at the best new apps that arrived on the App Store last month.
Odyz
Turn Your Travel Photos Into a Visual Passport
Anyone who enjoys travel knows how essential an iPhone is to capturing great photos of the trip. But many times, some great shots end up in our Camera Roll never to be seen again. Odyz wants to help changes that. The app takes all of your travel photos and creates a virtual travel passport to enjoy. All of the trips are automatically generated from your photos and don’t require manual album creation. The app will track continents, countries, regions, and cities. With a eye on privacy, there’s no account or email required to use the app.
AI Food tracker Foodllama
AI-Food Tracking
Long-time App Store fans surely know about Waterllama, the great companion that helps you keep hydrated throughout the day. The team behind the great app is back with a new way to track your health—Foodllama. As you might have guessed, the app is all about helping you eat more healthy. Take a picture of your food to see AI-powered detailed food breakdown, including calories, protein, carbs, fat. You can also use AI text input to describe a meal from scratch or to add ingredients. AI also powers the Health Benefit score that will show a summary of how the meal affects your health.
Cassette
Take Your iPhone Videos Back in Time
Take all of your videos in a unique trip through time with the new app Cassette. After opening the app, you’ll see each available year as a VHS cassette with a sticky note. Select a year, and a random video from the year will start playing on a retro TV screen and VCR Just tap the video to see it on the full screen of your device. On the screen, you will also see the date, time, and where exactly the video was shot.
Walk the World
Virtually Explore the Globe
You can travel the world with each step thanks to the great app Walk the World. The new app is from the same team behind the Clear to-do app and Heads Up party game, and it’s something you’ll definitely want to check out to help get you motivated to get outside and do more walking. Instead of just tracking your steps, you’ll progress on maps of iconic destinations like the Las Vegas Strip. While completing those walks, you can collect photo souvenirs and more. Each walk you select is full of checkpoints where you can unlock beautiful photos and earn a stamp for your in-app passport. After fully walking a trail, you can receive a postcard to mark the achievement and even share it with friends and family. In a personal passport, you can track the entire journey, see the collection, and view stats.
Notion Mail
A Better Gmail Client
If you're on the hunt for a new third-party email client for your iPhone, Notion Mail has just arrived with some unique features for Gmail users. The app uses AI for a number of tasks. Most importantly, it will label and organize incoming emails automatically. That requires using the Mac app to setup first. You can also personalize your inbox with a custom view to see what matters for you.
