Use AI To Improve Your News Reading Experience

AI is pretty much everywhere these days. And Bulletin is a great example of where AI actually makes the entire experience better. The RSS reader uses AI in a number of ways for you to better find and read news on the internet. First up, choose a Smart Summary for all articles in your feed to save time reading all of the headline. And in a specific article, the same technology can show you an AI-powered summary of the content. Another great use of AI is that the app can improve article headlines to help minimize the usual clickbait found on some sites.

All Sports, All the Time

Sports fans rejoice. Apple's Sports app features real-time scores, stats, and much more about almost any sport you can imagine. To best customize the app, you can build scoreboards by following specific teams, tournaments, and leagues. With just a few taps, you can move between scores, upcoming games, lineup details, and more. Thanks to integration with the Apple TV app, you can go directly from the Sports app to watch live games from Apple and other connected streaming apps.

Control a Mac With an iPad and Apple Pencil

Slate lets you turn an iPad and Apple Pencil into an input device for your Mac. When using the app, your Apple Pencil mirrors the Mac cursor, basically turning your tablet into a large trackpad. Made for artists, you can draw into your favorite creative programs with the Apple Pencil. Your handwriting on the iPad screen will also be converted into your Mac. Gesture input allows you to use a one-finger and two-finger gesture to scroll and zoom on the Mac, just like a trackpad.

Beautiful, Visual Look at the Weather

See the weather clearly with the beautiful Looks Like Rain. The app excels at providing an hourly weather forecast at a glance. When picking a location, you’ll see on top of the page the current weather conditions and a comprehensive look the the next 24 hours. Just swipe left to see all of the information. Below that is a look at the next 10 days in an hour-by-hour format. Different weather conditions are noted by a specific color shade. For example, cloudy is gray and clear is a sky blue. Rain, on the other hands, is a darker blue.

Never Forget an Idea or Task

During each day, there is probably a thought or idea that crosses your mind. But you never have time to jot it down to remember it later. The new app Thought Path can act as a task manager and place to store all of those ideas and more. Think of the app as a digital notepad to store thoughts and more. They might not amount to anything in the future, but the app allows you to store it for later. It’s well designed and easy to use. On the Timeline, jot down whatever you are thinking. When you’re ready to look back at everything, it’s played out like a text message app. You can see information like the time it was added and where. Each one can be further customized with the addition of a tag. A simple tap will also mark the idea as complete.

Better Focus, Sleep, or Relax With Music

Everything is better with music. And the new app Flow helps you create the perfect ambiance to help you focus, relax, and even sleep on a daily basis. The app is all about providing music for a specific task. To start, you’re greeted with a beautiful music player and a tune already playing. To help set the mood, some of the images on the player are animated. For example, you can see steam coming off a coffee cup when listening to relaxing jazz. There are already a wide variety of curated stations to listen to but you can also search for exactly what you're looking for.
