Use your webcam or DSLR camera to capture 8bit holographs that are made with your iPhone/iPad. Simply type in your message, add 8bit space invader characters, choose colors, adjust exposure time, and set depth. You then slide your iPhone/iPad slowly to either side to capture the holograph with your camera.

The app also features pausing and vibrate cues (vibrate on iPhone/iPod touch) to tell you when the screen is dark. I use this feature to pause an exposure and reposition for multi-line exposures. All the photos below were taken with the webcam or Nikon D80 camera with the exposure time set for long exposures. I made sure that the area is well lit to show how versatile the app is with lighting levels.

I wrote this application using 8-bit methods strictly in HTML5 and Javascript. It was written while commuting to work on the LA METRO Gold Line.
