The Barracuda Firewall Blueprint application provides a guideline for choosing the right Barracuda CloudGen Firewall hardware appliance for your requirements.

As performance may vary (based on user characteristics, application usage, security configurations, and other factors) we cannot guarantee specific performance results. Choosing the right size of CloudGen Firewall depends on three main characteristics at each location:
Number of users who need data access to Intranet, Internet, or Cloud Services.

• Feature set may massively influence performance of the appliance. In this Sizing App we take following main feature sets into consideration:
- Full Featured: Firewall, Application Detection, VPN, URL Filtering, Malware Protection, Advanced Threat Protection, Intrusion Prevention, SSL Interception, WAN Optimization
- Internet Breakout: Firewall, Application Detection, VPN, URL Filtering, Malware Protection, Advanced Threat Protection
- Secure Connection: Firewall, Application Detection, VPN

• Internet usage is based on a typical traffic mix. The maximum recommended number of (concurrent) users depends on the usage level and is split into low, medium, or high. All recommended user numbers are based on average email, web, and firewall usage.
