When you share a photo on a social network, you give out a lot of information!
Photos taken with your iPhone contain the location where the photo was taken, unless you have disabled location access. They also include details about the phone, and the settings of the phone camera.
Any photo that you upload to the Internet is also analyzed by AI's of Google, Facebook and the like. Such analysis extract even more private information about you; vehicle numbers, people and place you have been in, stuff you carry, etc., etc.
CAM'ouflage tries to minimize the information that can be extracted from your photos, while keeping the photos recognizable to human viewers. It removes EXIF metadata in the photo, including the location and time of capture. It also adds effects and artifacts to the photos to make it harder for AI algorithms to recognize the content of the photos.
Effects and artifacts used in CAM'ouflage are based on both published and independent research findings. Different effects work better for different photos; the Latte Art effect works best.
While we can't guarantee 100% protection, we will keep updating CAM'ouflage to make it as AI-proof as we can!
