The app is designed to help increase awareness of ear disease among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people(s), highlight risk factors for ear disease and promote the importance of seeking and following treatment to prevent hearing loss.

This Talking Book app is a resource developed for the Australian Government’s Care For Kids’ Ears campaign. The app is designed to help increase awareness of ear disease among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people(s), highlight risk factors for ear disease and promote the importance of seeking and following treatment to prevent hearing loss.
By downloading this app you can listen to key ear health messages in English only. There is another app available, with recordings of these messages in 22 Indigenous languages. Please search for ‘Care For Kids’ Ears (Indigenous languages)’ to download this app.
This app is designed to be used by health professionals when talking to patients about ear disease, by teachers and teachers’ aides to assist in ear health education, or by parents and carers wanting to learn more about ear disease.
