Whether you’re looking for a fine-dining restaurant, a casual cafe, a cup of coffee, or a great farm to buy food for home, Foodwaze tells you where to go.

We recommend food that we believe is better not only for human health, but the health of the entire planet, most specifically, it’s very foundation: The Soil. Making the connection between soil health and human gut health is fundamental to our values.

To that extent, our number one metric in deciding whether a business is one we can recommend to consumers is its commitment to a regenerative food system. This includes authentic, consistent, and verified sourcing from farms and other food producers committed to regenerative agriculture.

Foodwaze researches, verifies and curates food information by personally visiting restaurants, farms, and producers of all types. We assign a rating that helps consumers understand the level of commitment behind the various businesses we list.

We limit our listings to only those places we believe are making an authentic effort to produce, serve, or sell real food, grown without pesticides, raised without hormones, or produced without chemicals detrimental to your health. Businesses get listed on Foodwaze by the merits of their practices only. We do not accept money from food businesses in the form of advertising or listing fees.

Delivering reliable and thorough content like what you see on Foodwaze is labor-intensive. Our company started in 2015 and we are still growing, so we want to be clear that we are not yet nationwide. Most of our content is concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic, but we are working rapidly to expand as soon as we can.
