Hansen Optometrists app helps our patients to protect their vision and to access information about our practice.

It offers eye health break activities that encourage patients to use a wider range of motion with their eyes and improve the health of their eyelids and tear glands.


Our app is designed to be helpful to all of our patients including the elderly, children, parents, contact lens wearers, computer operators and spectacle wearers. We will help our patients to download the app in the practice so we can then use it in the consulting room to set up reminders for eye health activities, future appointments and replacements of contact lenses.
The Hansen Optometrists app was recently awarded the best new innovation for optometric practices at the 2013 Australian Optometric Practice Conference.

About Nick Hansen

Nick Hansen is an international expert in behavioural optometry and previous chairman of the International Federation of Behavioural Optometry (IFBO). Nick played a key role in developing the eye health activities and information in the Hansen Optometrists app.
