Homeless Plus V2

Homeless Plus is a free mobile application that allows the geolocation of homeless people in order to provide them with direct help. Free and easy to use, this application aims to fight against social exclusion and food waste.
Version 1 of the Homeless Plus application was launched in May 2015. Voted best application 2016 for AppAwards. It has already helped more than 7,000 homeless people.
With this in mind, many of you want to help and often you don't know how to do it, where to go or you don't dare alone. Homeless Plus Version 2.0, aims to help a greater number of homeless people and to bring together a community of carers in France and abroad.
The functionalities of the new version of Homeless Pus, will allow:
- To the homeless: to benefit from visibility and support.
They will not see the other homeless people but only the help offered and the solidarity events: marauds, hanging cafés, changing rooms, showers, hairdressers, veterinarians, etc....
They will be able to choose their visibility to the public of their choice (for example, to be seen only for associations or for everyone).
They will be able to geolocate themselves and specify their needs in real time.
They will be able to spread a message and receive help according to their needs.
Their record is visible through a red heart that will turn green thanks to the help provided.
They will be able to see the solidarity events on the map in order to get there and receive help.
They will be able to save their vital documents on their drive.
- Associations: organize collections, distributions and gather volunteers.
Their solidarity events will be visible to the homeless (date/time/curve).
Their marauding tours will be visible to the homeless who will benefit from assistance and to
individuals and businesses who will be able to participate and help.
- To individuals: give, help, share, participate or create solidarity events.
They will be able to help and become volunteers, without making a long-term commitment.
With the agreement of the homeless, they will be able to geolocate them by specifying their needs, which will allow local people, associations, traders and communities to help them.
The report of the homeless is visible through a red heart that will turn into a green heart thanks to the assistance provided. If no help has been given, the red heart will disappear after 24 hours.
They will be able to participate or organize their own solidarity event (e.g. food distribution), making it visible to the homeless and the caregiver community.
To avoid abuse, it is not possible to locate a homeless person beyond 5 kilometres. Beyond meeting their needs, our objective is to help them get off the streets and reintegrate into society.-
- To company, socially responsible CSR traders: give unsold goods and/or offer services.
They will be able to define a time slot during the day in order to offer their services and give their unsold items (either directly to the homeless or to associations and marauding groups who will come to collect them and distribute them).
They will be able to create solidarity events: suspended cafés, concerts, housing, hairdressers, laundries, administrative assistants, translators, legal assistants, etc...
- To local authorities: specify the useful addresses.
They may specify accommodation centres, day and night reception centres, collection points, water points, showers, laundries, instructions, changing rooms, administrative assistants, etc....
