App Store Description

Meet the world's first live video editor.

What is Hype Editor?
While filming on your camera, tap and hold to highlight moments, make sections, and write notes. Map out your footage, live.
Send that map to your video editor* and use it as a guide to edit lightning fast... without playing back footage.

Sync w/ Camera
You must sync Hype Editor with your camera to live edit. It's easy, just press 'Start' in Hype Editor & press 'Record' in your camera at the same time.
This manually syncs Hype Editor for that recording. (Compatible with all cameras.)

Mark Moments Realtime:
1. Mark in & out points
2. Rate takes live
3. Write detailed notes
4. Label b-roll
5. Mark new sections

Hype Editor then exports live edits as an XML file that can be imported into your NLE*.

-----

How to Live Edit:
1. When your subject begins talking... Tap & hold. (To make an in-point.)
2. While they talk, keep holding.
3. When your subject finishes talking... Rate & release. (For an out-point.)

Editing videos can be fun. That's why we got into this business, right? As demands for media grows, editors face growing pressure to meet increased consumption. Skip the hardest part of editing. Do more with a small team. Focus on what you do best... creativity. We always wondered how video editing would look in the mobile era. It's finally here. Live edit to transform your editing workflow and take a shortcut to the final edit.

Get your footage and rough draft at the same time:
Make data driven editing decisions by getting more info as you film. Hype Editor turns that info into a color coded timeline for your video editor* so that you never lose track of amazing takes, even if they're buried in 2 hours of footage and you're on a tight deadline. Deliver more content to your viewers. Upgrade your video quality with less effort. Bring the energy of the video shoot to your edit. Use the best take every time. Why watch the same video shoot twice? Your energy is finite. Professional editing doesn't have to take all night.
