Natural Disasters Albania

This mobile application is designed in the framework of the “Building resilience and preparedness skills through disaster risk reduction and school community engagement” project, an initiative of the Ministry of Education and Sports in Albania and “World Vision Albania”, supported by “UNICEF”, based on SDG Acceleration Fund mechanism and with the financial support of the Government of Netherlands.
This app contains six (6) specific sections addressing the learning process on how to behave in possible emergencies affecting the education system/ schools: Earthquakes; Pandemics; Flooding; Fire; Landslide; First aid in school/ during an emergency. Users can also find the necessary emergency services contacts.
From a technical perspective, contains the following menu structure:
1. Landing page. Visitors can choose one of two languages available, both in Albanian and English

1.1. Choose type of disaster. Visitors can choose one of 6 selected types of disasters
1.1.1 Know the disaster. Visitors are acquainted with basic information on the selected disaster
1.1.2 Plan and prepare. Tips on how to plan and be prepared for the selected type of disaster
1.1.3 Do’s and Don’ts Tips on what to do and not in different scenarios (indoor, outdoor)
1.1.4 Recover and built Tips on what to do when in the situation of the disaster.
1.1.5 Build a kit List of equipment needed to build an emergency kit.
1.1.6 Test your knowledge Practical test with questions on the selected type of disaster.

3. Emergency: includes written information on the emergency contacts.
