App Store Description

Sansâga Walks is home to a growing collection of GPS-triggered audio walks, curated locative storytelling and site-specific listening experiences in windswept, Nordic landscapes.

This app is constructed to provide immersive listening experiences, offering carefully documented and immaculately produced site-specific stories that unfold at your own pace as you walk the story in its natural settings. While the surrounding landscape enriches and completes the story, the story influences your view of the landscape with transporting experiences for the ears and the imagination.

“Sansâga” is an old Nordic word: a true tale told in an adventurous way.

Sansaga´s storytellers are drawn to forgotten tales and traces of the invisible hidden away in the land by time. You can find our locative storytelling experiences in the Faroe Islands and the island Bornholm in the Baltic sea and we will soon be premiering a number of walks in Iceland and other windswept places.

Sansâga productions is situated on the Danish island Bornholm. In our award-winning team, we combine documentary making and anthropological research with crafted, creative audio storytelling.

We work with local heritage and oral history in a range of international settings to produce site specific audio experiences and podcasts. Download our app to get access to our free content and see what else we have to offer.

Our app is tailored by Echoes.xyz and developed with support from Øernes Kunstfond, Nordisk Kulturfond and NORA.
