There's a New Apple Support Phishing Scam Making the Rounds

Beware a new Apple support phishing scam now making its way through email. Don’t fall for it by reading below.

As you can see below, the phishing email looks like it came from Apple support. It’s only when you dig deeper you can see it’s a fake.

Notice the link at the bottom, https://appleid.apple.com. Looks correct, no? When you click on it, the actual link is bogus, http://ap.appscdevsec.com.

You can also determine this email is phishing by looking at the real sender email. The From email is “Support.” The link isn’t from Apple., however. Instead, it’s from “info@csvindata.com.”

This Apple support phishing scam comes just days after another one was uncovered that operates as an iMessage.

That one says that your “PhoneID” is due to expire. Clicking on the link will lead you to a phishing site designed to trick you into giving sensitive information including your Apple ID and password.
