As you collect (or purchase) diamonds, you can use them to reset your Starsoul Pendant back to 100. This is a great way to reduce how long it takes to pass between milestones.

There's also a real importance to upgrading your drones. The better your drones are, the more resources they'll collect each minute. That translates to activating the Starsoul Pendant faster and more often, as well as being able to make other upgrades more quickly. This is how you advance through the galaxy rapidly, by making judicious use of all of the resources available to you.

Every time you reach a milestone, such as a planet or some other celestial location, you collect rewards. These are resources as well as the two types of matter you need to make advances in your shuttle. Make wise use of them.

You also get a major boost from your alien friend, so choose that reward wisely. I've found the best way to proceed quickly through the longer stretches between milestones is to have ELF, your alien friend, fold space more efficiently for you. This reduces the distance to the next milestone, allowing you to get there faster.

Along the way, be sure to keep up with any other rewards that come your way. For example, when you've been away from the game for a while, your drones are still collecting resources. Be sure to tap on the round shuttle icon to collect those when you go back into the game.

You'll activate abilities that automatically tap for you, and you'll even get your drones upgraded enough to tap on their own. Even so, you should keep tapping as fast as you can, to help make sure you speed through space as quickly as possible.
