Classic Cartoons Take Over Apple TV Thanks to Boomerang
Boomerang on Apple TV becomes a reality, finally.
Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting System and Warner Bros. have finally put Boomerang TV on Apple TV. The $5-per-month streaming service, which launched earlier this year, features classic cartoons and original content.
Based on the Boomerang cable channel that launched in 2000, the Boomerang TV streaming service includes older titles from the Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes, and MGM animation libraries, including “Scooby Doo,” “Tom & Jerry,” “Bugs Bunny,” “The Jetsons,” “The Flintstones,” and more.
Newer offerings include “Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz,” and “Wacky Races.”
At launch, the service offers 1,000 episodes that you can stream online or through your mobile device.
You can subscribe to Boomerang for $40 per year or $5 per month, either through the Boomerang website, Apple TV or universal iOS app.
Each subscription comes with a 7-day free trial.
