The Ecobee4 HealthKit-Enabled Thermostat Teased Online
“Your answer to a smarter home” is just a few days away, according to a page on the Ecobee website. The page is a tease for the Ecobee4, which is set for its official reveal on Wednesday, May 3.
On the page, Ecobee notes, “Something big is in the works. Sign up now and be the first to know.”
First leaked earlier this month by Dave Katz, the Ecobee4 is expected to be the first Ecobee smart thermostat with a built-in microphone and speaker for Amazon Alexa integration. Although the Ecobee3 works with the voice assistant, it requires an Amazon Echo smart speaker. The Ecobee4, like the Ecobee3, will also be compatible with Apple HomeKit.
Ahead of the Ecobee4 launch, Ecobee has lowered the price on the Ecobee3. It’s now available for $199 instead of $249.
