Experience Dragon Raja for iOS Based on the Fantasy Novel Series

November 23, 2017

Based on the critically acclaimed high-fantasy novel series, Dragon Raja is a free-to-play mobile ARPG. Since the game's launch, it has reached No. 1 on South Korea and Taiwan’s free games charts. The epic ARPG places you in the midst of a struggle to save the kingdom of Bysus from a Crimson Dragon that terrorized the continent two decades ago.

Take part in breathtaking combat at the Great Labyrinth, and work your way through adrenalin-pumping 30 vs 30 guild wars.

First introduced in 1997, the Dragon Raja novels chronicle the adventures of a 17-year-old boy Hoochie Nedval, his mentor Karl Heltant, and his friend Sanson Percival, all of whom are from the poor town of Fief Heltant in the Kingdom of Bysus.

In Dragon Raja, you get to experience the riveting story in the palm of your hands. Your job is to save the kingdom from a Crimson Dragon that once terrorized the land. To do so, you must fight side-by-side with key protagonists from the novel and embark on new adventures.

Features include the ability to experience hundreds of dungeons in Campaign mode, take part in breathtaking combat at the Great Labyrinth, and work your way through adrenalin-pumping 30 vs 30 guild wars.

Dragon Raja arrives with stunning skill effects and fantastic character animations. The first person PvP is powered by Unity3d.

There’s a lot to love about Dragon Raja, which should remind you of other free-to-play multiplayer action-RPGs.

When you begin playing the game, you’ll act as one character, Hutch Nedval. In time, after achievements are met, you can increase this number significantly to 20. Each character has its own personality and abilities, as you would expect.

You’re allow to have three characters for each battle. Switch and control each manually. Each battle tends to last one to two minutes. You job is to defeat the minions followed by the level’s biggest baddie using attacks, dodges, and recharging boosts.

For now, Dragon Raja offers 17 chapters, each with 10 stages. More difficult Elite and Hell stages follow. For even the most dedicated iOS games, this game will take a while to get through all stages. Over 300 in total.

The controls include a virtual stick on the left and fight buttons on the right. These include “attack,” “block,” and “dodge.” You can also unlock other special moves.

There’s much to love about Dragon Raja, a well-balanced multiplayer action-RPG. It includes beautiful, well-developed scenes, with characters who are sometimes funnier than you would expect.

Overall, however, don’t expect originality here. The game doesn’t push the genre in a new direction, which isn’t necessarily bad.

The freemium Dragon Raja is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store.
