Help Free Your Fairy Tale Friends in Shrek Sugar Fever
A sweet spell has spread dastardly candy all over the kingdom in the land of Far Far Away, including Shrek's swamp. Hours of immersive block-bursting fun are at hand, as you try to help Shrek get his swamp back (again) and free his sugar-crazed friends from their candy obsession.
When the time comes to break your friends free from chocolate, hard candy, and other sweets, what do you do? If you're Shrek, you pound on the ground, fart, burp, and use other ogre-inspired power ups.
In Shrek Sugar Fever, you get some pretty awesome, but disgusting, power ups to help you break your friends free of their sugar rush.
This matching game will require your best planning and a fair bit of luck, along with smart use of your farts, burps, and ground-smashing strength. Your friends are mired in sticky sweets, and only you can free them.
Don't count on much help from Donkey, either. He's as happy as can be, enjoying all of the chocolate, icing, and hard candies as his belly will hold.
Shrek Sugar Fever has plenty of other ways to help, though. Some levels provide you with potions to get rid of all of the candies of a certain color, so be on the lookout for them. Shrek needs all the help he can get!
A Shrek-inspired block matching game
When you get to the boss levels, you really have to keep your wits about you. Fiends like Farquad will try to block you from freeing your friends.
In the boss levels, pay careful attention to which sugary blocks you're supposed to get rid of. It's easy to get distracted by all of the other colored blocks, but only the goal candies will help you defeat the boss.
As you're breaking candies, whichever boss you're up against will be putting down their own obstacles to your matching. Farquad loves his biscuits, but those will stop you from making matches. Be careful to work fast, so you don't get boxed in.
Most of the levels in Shrek Sugar Fever are relaxing, without any time limit, but when you get to the boss level you need to work fast at the same time that you're thinking about your strategy. It gets pretty intense, which is a nice counterpoint to the more relaxing job of just matching the most blocks at a time in the other levels.
If you're a Shrek fan and love matching games, this is a win-win for you. Not only do you get the challenge of seeing how many blocks you can match at once, but you get special power ups that only an ogre would love to help you along the way.
