Jisoncase Offers an Elegant Portfolio Standing Case for iPhone
The Folio Standing Case from Jisoncase has a lot to offer for a small price tag. It looks and feels plush. It is a portfolio case that doubles as a stand, perfect for watching videos. The front cover protects your iPhone’s screen while it’s in your pocket or bag. The case is made from “leatherette” rather than genuine leather, but it has the soft feel of leather, not plastic.

What I liked
The Folio Standing Case comes in a variety of beautiful colors. Jisoncase sent me a purple case for review. It fits my iPhone 6s beautifully. The camera and all buttons and ports are fully functional within the case. Since it is a folio, you do have to open it to access the buttons on the left side of the phone. Everything else is accessible with the folio closed. You can even talk on the phone with the case closed since there are openings in front of the speaker.
There is a small lip around the edge of the case to protect your iPhone in face-down situations. To use it as a stand, you bend the back cover, pulling the left half of the phone out as you do so. Prop the phone at your desired angle. The case folds all the way back on itself easily for comfortable two-thumbed texting.
While the case is not genuine leather, it’s a convincing imitation. The materials are high quality and aesthetically pleasing. The case is well constructed and built to last.
What I didn't like
It’s an issue of personal taste, but I don’t love that the outer edge of the case is white rather than the same purple as the rest of the case.
For protection nuts like me, it’s a little nerve-wracking to have to have the case half-naked while in stand mode. If I hadn’t already used up both of my AppleCare+ incidents, it probably wouldn’t bother me.
The case has magnets to hold the case closed. In my experience, the magnets are not strong enough to do so.
Bottom line
Overall, I think this is an excellent case. It’s vegan-friendly, beautiful, protective, and multi-functional. My quibbles with it are minor, and I can confidently recommend it.
