Leaked iOS 11 GM Shows New iPhone Wallpapers, New Red Apple Watch
On Friday night, 9to5Mac reported they had received an advanced copy of Apple’s iOS 11 GM firmware, which should arrive for developers early next week. The purported gold master version of iOS 11 includes lots of new wallpapers, including “several brand new wallpapers, including seven sure-to-be-popular retro-styled versions and an all-black wallpaper fit for OLED displays.”
In total, 16 new still wallpapers for iPhone were discovered. These include several versions of the Apple six color retro logo, six new flower wallpapers, and three new space wallpapers.
Meanwhile, 9to5Mac has also uncovered an image of what’s likely to be the new LTE Apple Watch Series 3.
The image, shown below, was discovered in the iOS 11 GM. As you can see “the new Apple Watch makes a brief appearance in the Watch app sporting a red-accented digital crown, a signal meter, and complications that further hint at wireless LTE connectivity.”
Apple’s fall event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, Sept. 12. At that time, the company’s likely to announce three new iPhones, a next-generation Apple Watch, and a 4K-compatible Apple TV.
Soon after the event, Apple is also certainly going to release public versions of iOS 11, watchOS 4, tvOS 11, and macOS High Sierra.
